Default Looking for bucket list fishing spots for my wife and I

Hello ladies and gents.

This is a rather unfortunate request. Recently, my wife and I have been notified that she had ALS. She is an avid outdoors lady and loves fishing. Thus far, I have acquired a 12 foot boat with a nine nine on the back. What I need now are some decent northern fishing lakes that will be worth it for us to travel to.

I have my own carpentry business, but I am basically planning on taking the summer off, getting a truck tent and heading out for three or four day trips now and then while she is still mobile. exploring northern fishing areas is something wed been planning on taking our time at, but we just ran out of that.

Any good spots would truly be appreciated. i have a 4x4 so i can deal with a little rough road action. Good fishing to you all!

Head to Northern Sask and try them all out! Could stay at Meadow Lake provincial park and head out from there.
I wish you the best of luck and I am sorry for you and your wife.

Leave the big water alone with a 12'... Try NE Sask. Lots of little lakes with lots of fish. Flin Flon area.

I take my 12’ Jon out on big lakes. Just have to not be a coward and choose your days semi carefully and you’ll be alright. Just did cross lake provincial park (Steele lake) for the first time today. None stop pike. 20”-32” steady.

If it's in your budget contact the heli people on Hwy 11 west of rocky mountain house, they fly in to most of the alpine lakes, great trip with almost no hard work, most lakes alpine have golden trout, it's off my bucket list now, cost is around 250 to 350 each, last year, you can fly in and fly back, win win for your misses

Lots of little lakes in northern sask too. Really nice camping. One of my favourite areas. Greg lake has a nice campground if it’s not all booked up.
