Default Reputable 2-stroke tuner

I am in search of a Reputable 2-stroke mechanic. The boat runs great at top end but it can be a real pain to get stated and idle. 115 Jonson with 4 carbs. It’s always been finicky ever since new. In just wondering if it could be tuned up or jetted differently. Anyone have any recommendations?

I had the old fellow at the mercury shop in lethbridge give my v6 Blackmax a going over. He cleaned the carbs and synched them and got it going good. Seems to know his way around a big 2 stroke.

Two top choices in Edmonton.

1 Aqua Marine. Darren is honest and does a great job.

2 Tournament Marine. They took a rebuilt Johnson 120 with a mix of carbs that were completely jetted wrong, and SOME for the wrong engine, and fixed all the carbs and re jetted and DYNO'd it to 120 hp at Alberta Altitude. Yes, Alberta and proven dyno'd.

As for a tough starting engine. Some 2 strokes were so called "loop charged" like the 120, and have to be primed 10 times, and hold the key in on a cold start until it warms up. Then once warm will start fine.

Give the 10 push with the key turned trick, and hold the key in until revs pick up on your 115.

THEN hit it with a can of Sea Foam.
