Default Archery Wolf

Was able to take this guy last week at my bear bait. He wouldn't come right in, but kept skirting the bait site picking up scraps dropped by the bears. Finally got a little to close for his own good. First blood with my Prime Impact!

Awesome!! Congrats!!
I'm hoping one day to get a wolf & I've been trying with both my bow and rifle but so far no pics to share.

I should clarify that it's my favourite kind of wolf, because it is harvested, not because it's with a bow (it sounded like I've accomplished the feat and was using your thread to announce the fact, but I haven't...don't wanna be THAT guy lol)
Congrats on an amazing archery accomplishment!

Congrats on that wolf. I had told the fellow that was taking me to his bear bait that given the oppurtunity I would rather see a wolf come in (we did see one on the hwy. not far from bait site). Must have been a rush to get that with a bow.

Thanks everybody! I consider myself VERY lucky to have gotten the opportunity to harvest a wolf with my bow. With how unexpectedly it all came together I'm happy that I was able to keep it together & make a good clean shot. His fur was still good enough for taxidermy purposes & I've decide to get a half mount for the wall.

Thats gonna look sharp ...have a couple bears done that way...was the tail a little thin?

rugs take up a lot of room a nice half mount looks sharp and is very impresssive...

good job!!

Tail & hinds were a little thin, but front half was quite good. This is the picture I gave the taxidermist & she found the exact same form to use for it. Can't wait to get it back!
