Hi Neil. what is the average weight for fletchings and inserts. I was surprised your set up was 430. Being the blue streak is a lower weight arrow. Reason I ask I was trying to find the right combo into that 430-450 range in a cx.

Blazer vanes are 6 grains each so x3 = 18 grains, nock around 8-12 grains and inserts about 12 grains.

What components are you using Neil? Any added weight?
If you use a collar I get your arrow to be 409 grains.

Mike you are closer than I was when stated 430 ish Gr arrow since I took wrap off @9gr

CX Blue streak 8.3 @28+" GPI = 234.89 GR
Collar-= 4 Gr = 238.89 GR
Savage Vanes@ 9 Gr per = 27gr = 265.89 GR
Easton Super Nock@13GR = 278.89 GR
Inserts@14gr = 292.89 GR
Broadhead @125gr = 417.89 GR

The Easton Super Nock is a little heavier but better fit than the CX nock and I like the big index indicator to nock arrow by touch...

I have been playing with weighted inserts and adaptors ..still ahvent found the one I like yet...wish they would just make standard inserts in 10 gr increments...

@66 lbs I would like about another 20 -30 gr front end ... broadheads should be 75-85-100-125 and 150 Grs

Neil

I use Goldtip 75/95 with pin nock bushings or Nockturnals for hunting. 70lbs bow at 28 inch draw with 100gr Grim Reaper Razortip, arrow weighs in at 385gr and has performed flawlessly so far.

I think the speed is around 290-295fps if I remember correct or it might be a little bit faster, I am using a Bowtech Invasion.

I shoot:

Gold tip 75/95
85 grain grim reaper razor tip
4 blazer mini's
Boning Pin nock with gt adapter
43 grains weight up front (to get momentum up)

Carbon Overdrive @ 28"

403 grains at 305 fps. deadly. Period.

My back up bow is an invasion and shoots the same arrow at 299 fps. Deadly too.
