First Archery Moose
After finally getting drawn for moose my daughter and myself hunted hard and found lots of moose in a area. I was there almost everyday even if it was only 2 hours or all day. I was very determined to get it done before rifle season started. So Sunday morning started off normal them at 9 am I seen a bull and a cow but the stalk did not work out. I went home regrouped grabbed my hunting partner ( my 15 year old daughter) and headed back. We walked in laid scent down disappeared for a couple hours returning a couple hours later we quietly got into position. After about a 20 min settle down period I called and heard him in the bush headed our way. The last 20 yards coming out of the bush i heard his antler scrap the willows, that got the blood pumping. When he came out he headed right for the scent at 40 yards I grunted and he stopped dead in his tracks . I drew back and well the rest is history. My daughter said to after the celebration was done Dad I'm so glad he ran the other way never realized how big they are when they are that close!

Good job - I especially like that your hunting partner is your 15 year old daughter - so is mine!

Nice. Grandkids not far away so I have to think about getting my grand daughter away from dance class to come out hunting. Has your daughter show a interest in hunting or was it a chance to spend more time with dad.
