Default 2018 Crossbow permits

After speaking with the F and W office in Cochrane to renew my crossbow permit i understand it is now a 5 year validation (for some) and can be issued online and at retailers. The very helpful person said she had sent everybodies info to "licencing" a while ago and now it was up to them to have it ready for the season. (Sep 5). Maybe the fire at the Provincial offices in Edmonton has impacted this.I called AlbertRelm and the lady there had no idea what i was talking about. Does anybody else in this situation have any info on how this is progressing?.

I received my permit a month ago . Process is similar in the initial stage. You go to the office get the letter and have a physician complete it for you. Take the documents to the office and they called me back a week later saying I could print the permit off. I went to alrem and in my file I found the permit and printed it of. It is valid for 5 years. Beats the hell out of going every year thru the same process and paying about 100 to the doctor every time. As i have done for the last 20 years. Well the last time it was good for 3 years.

Good luck
