Default Input on new sight.

I'm looking for a sight that will serve me well for both hunting and 3D.
I have used a TR V5 for 5 seasons. I think they are a great hunting sight, but leave me at a disadvantage shooting 3D.
ie, shooting at a spot on a 3D target that's 35 or 40 yards away. Problem being, the 20 and 30 yard pins block the spot I want to shoot at.
I thought I'd narrowed down to one manufacturer's sight, but with more research I've expanded it to 2 sights. Spot Hogg and Black Gold. I'm looking fur input on these sights, the different models and 5 or 7 pin. I think the 7 would be cluttered, but could be beneficial for 3d at 35 and 45 yards. Ideas and suggestions?

Not sure what you mean by 20-30 pins blocking spot to shoot? something doesnt sound right...

But on the two you mentioned...
Spot Hog awesome sight..on the heavy side and expensive...works great for both 3D - hunting...pending on model-seen at 3D more than hunting...

Black Gold...great tuff sight..brightest pins hands down...reasonable price...mid weight... seen more hunting than at 3D but will work just fine for both...

7 pins are no more cluttered than 5 pins...your picking a spot not aiming at whole animals right!!
I shoot one 7 pin MBG and one 6 pin...

Look at both in hand is best ...you will know which one quickly...

this pretty much says it all.

I will add the photo plastic lens on the MBG will not tint under indoor lighting and can be too bright inside. I use tape to remedy this.

Oops meant 20 and 30 yard pins blocking the spot.

Hard to split the pins on a spot if I can't see the spot.

looks like I have an opportunity on a great deal on 7 pin MBG Surge. A model that's been replaced by the Backdraft model. Dealer cost. Sweet! Thanks for the input.
