Default Grizzly Stiks

I bought my fist six to try. Now how do you cut woven carbon? I have a Dremel and some cutting discs, but they are small. The big disc is reinforced and I'm not sure on using that one. I can't just run down to a bow shop as we don't have one.

I've just used my hacksaw to cut them, seems to work fine for me. Later.

I'll look into that. It may be a lot easier than the Dremel.
Thanks

Nice arrows. I take it you're shooting a LB or recurve. You want the cut to be square and no splintering. No access to a shop eh? Where are you?
If your cuts aren't square your inserts won't seat properly and your broadheads won't spin true. I'd use a cut off disc of some type before a hack saw.............even a mitre saw with a cut off disc on it would work and give you a square cut. Whatever you do.......do a test cut first...longer than what you need the arrow to be.....then you'll know whether to continue cutting your arrows.

I made this saw recently. Sewing machine motor, 3 inch cut off disc, 3 inch angle iron, 1 inch aluminum flat stock and a piece of oak.........even comes with the foot pedal.

Nice arrows? Thats a nice saw!!! You could sell that. I would buy one. Foot pedal in size 10. Yes these are for the recurve, and I have a LB and a compound but it is collecting dust lately. I was thinking of testing the cuts I do at 1/2" in to the shaft in case it looks bad then I can try something else. The more I get into traditional the more self sufficient I have to get.

Don't know the rpm on my saw......the motor doesn't say. It's at least 5K judging from the performance. Apple sells them with either a 5K or 8K motor. Here is a commercial Apple Arrow Saw......like you see in Pro Shops.
