I really doubt there is much ice. Was walking the dog today and the south end of Beaumont pond is frozen. Everything will thaw next week. +7. Mid December is when I start drillin.

had the boat on pigeon lake on oct 20 . had to use a different boat launch then usual ,as there was ice piled up on the one we normally use, from the waves freezing on the ramp making an ice hump over a foot high.

Not "global warming"...."climate change", and that is absolutely what we're seeing. Regardless, I've got Sunny +9 for Tuesday, with high's around 6 and 7 for the tail end of the week. We'll see how that impacts things.

Well, one thing. We know the water temps sure took a dive. It will be a pretty quick freeze over once the 2nd winter hits

Perhaps winter is already here, that's the main pier, who wants to be the first to drive out on it?

Not my pic but taken today.

I believe that was the truck that went down in Sylvan in the Palm Bay area last year, it took them a few weeks to get it out but the owner said his insurance covered it, lucky for him.

Pic from Lighthouse this afternoon, some of the ice is covered with snow, if you look close that's clear ice out to the weed-line, it's going down to -26C with windchill tonight, we should see more ice on Sunday.

I thought the earth is supposedly getting warmer but now we call it climate change?

+10 Sat // +12 Sun in my forecast. Really curious about taking the boat out for one last rip on Sylvan Sunday, but we'll see how it goes. I'd imagine all docks are out now, and the launches themselves might be pretty frozen up. We'll see how much things melt off during the week, but I'm thinking about it....

Completely forgot about this until it hit me this morning. FRIG!!!!!!!! So chapped. Friggin' Alberta and your weird regs...ha ha. Thinking about maybe heading to Pigeon, but have never fished there. Buffalo still open, but I don't have a lot of use for a bunch of dinker jacks. Seems like such a waste to not be on the boat when we've got +16 in the forecast for Sunday!!

Drove down the beach at Sylvan last night. No ice at all along the beach.
