severns dam

went out to severns dam last weekend and then again today.
last weekend b/w 4 of us we caught 7 rainbows. one at 15 inch and a couple at 13 and the rest around the 10 mark.
today went out there and b/w the 4 of use got 5. one big 20 inch rainbow and then the other 4 at the 12 inch mark.
its slow at times out there but the fish are all fattt lol and the meat is pink for some reason...
would post pics of the big one but dono how to on here.

nice going man the reports seem to indicate severn is a somewhat tough place to fish at times. i have been told that the meat is redish because of the shrimp they eat.

Thats great to hear. What did you get them on if you dont mind? We always used velveeta and worms.

yes the fishing can be slow at times but when u catch say 5 bigger ones a day that is equal to the 20 smaller ones at chains lol.
we used worms shrimp and orange power bait.

were you fishing by the dam or on the west side near the bank, I had really good luck this spring by the Dam with a spinner in the early spring, we usaually ice fish on the east side.

if u are on the dam looking down the lake we where at like the far right side. i tihnk its like the far north west inlet.
