Son shot several deer with the 139 sst hand loads and I agree they do severe damage on deer. Like they're hit by a semi type thing, you'll love the ttsx on elk. I load nothing but 139 lrx now for it.

I'm not usually a fan of the Nosler BT, but have been shooting the 120gr NBT in my wife's 7-08AI with great success on game.

Have shot bullets in the 120-140 range quite a bit. 7-08 has killed several critters for us

Default 139gr

Hornady 139 grain SST and BTSP both group the exact same, under MOA at 100yds through her weatherby. Using Benchmark powder, large rifle primer, flings them at just over 2800fps.
Makes more of a mess then my 308 165gr Speer btsp at 2700fps.

My 700 wouldn't group worth a damn, tried multiple types of box ammo and hand loads with 139, 140, and 150 with no luck.

Worked up a load with 120 nosler bt over varget and all of a sudden it's the most accurate rifle I own. Hoping to find the same success with the 120 ttsx so the wife can use it for elk/moose in the future. For this year it's going put for muley and whitetail.
