I don't reload for the ones that I have but I really like the cartridge and have owned several rifles in this chambering. Easy on the shoulder, accurate and is very effective at killing critters. I shoot 140 gr Nosler Partitions in mine.

For deer and pronghorn, look no further than the Barnes 120gr TTSX. My daughters use it and it is a killer.

Hard to go wrong with a 140gr flavour in the 7mm-08. Great combination of trajectory and performance. I prefer something bonded. Accubonds are wicked, 120-140 monos.. great all around cartridge.

I shoot 120gr TTSX's in my Tikka 7-08 with a stiff/compressed charge of CFE223. Very accurate and very effective on deer.

Having loaded for no less than 4 different 7-08’s, I can say it’s a very forgiving cartridge to reload for.
I’ve used WCC headstamp 7.62 brass, R-P, Win, and Lapua brass.
And frankly patty cake 120 SP’s with 4064 or 4895, thru 120 TSX’s with Varget, 130 Speer’s with 4064 or Varget, 139 Hornady BTSP’s with Varget 139 LRX’s and Varget, or 4350, 145 Speer BT’s with Varget or 4350, 150 Matchking’s with 4350, 155 Chinchaga’s and 4350, and 162 Ajax’s with 4350.
They all gave excellent results.

Don’t get too caught up in the brass, as I’ve personally seen very little difference, beyond what’s available.

Re sized 7.62 or .308 is an easy twist.
