Octane Hostage rest?

I have a Bowtech Carbon Icon with the basic RAK package. The rest has been fine for me, but I realized the brushes are getting worn. Nobody in Edmonton has them and when I looked online, I couldn't find anywhere that could ship them quick. Seemed like most were coming from China. I was hoping to not have to buy a new rest and mess with my now so close to opener.

Any advice? Should I just go get a new rest? What kind? A dropaway or a whisker biscuit?

Anyone know where I can get some new brushes for it?

Personally I would get a QAD HDX or Hamskea and never look back

I ended up replacing my hostage that came with me bow with a drop away. Its soo much quieter where you draw back and when you release your arrow.

Good call. You can adjust the brushes in the rest to get you through. The theory behind the Octane style, I feel, is better than a traditional whisker biscuit. However, going the drop away really is your best option. I went with a Ripcord and have never been happier.

I have a carbon icon, in fact I just sold the octane stab and rest that came with the bow. I switched to a static stabilizer and a QAD ultra HDX drop away. Works great
