What ever floats your boat. People want to break the law, they accept the consequences.
I have a problem when people that knowingly break the law look down their noses at people who follow the rules. That's totally backwards.

He saw a way to buy votes and bring on yet another HUGE revenue stream. Nothing more. As an added bonus he could be on the right side of the law again himself.
And I think you're confused, it is civil protest that brings about change, not civil disobedience. The latter is illegal and gets you thrown in jail.
All pot users prior to October 17th were taking a calculated risk, not toking in protest.
