Default Ski Doo 550F

I would like to put a wider ski on my 550F, it has the 5.7 pilot skis on it but i need more flotation in soft snow. Any suggestions as to where to purchase and what width to look at would be appreciated

A lot of dealers keep the wider skis in stock.

Google is your friend. Quick search of make/model should get you someplace that offers wide flotation skis.

I put the wide ski skins on my Skandic and I wouldn't do it again. I'll probably take them off before the season. They adversely affect the handling and tippieness of the machine mostly because the big wide ski catches everything and throws the machine around.

Default wide skis

209 is correct, you can add an inch or two to your front skis but anything more your handling goes to hell.

Default Skis

Good to know, I was thinking the same thing but I already spend enough time pushing my tundra back upright! Lol

I did the ski stance widening kit and it helped a lot on the tippiness.
