Default Deap seated 9.3x62 loads for husqvarna 46

I have a Beautiful Husqvarna 46 chambered in 9.3x62 but factory and handloads are too long for the magazine (designed for approx.3"oal 6.5x55).
Does anyone have safe loads with bullets seated deep (would increase pressure) at 3" overall instead of the 3.28"
-I have 270gr Speer Hotcore, once fired Hornady brass fl sized and trimmed, federal lr primers, and H4895 and H4350, and a chrony.
-Not looking for highest possible velocity, just something safe I can hunt with. All I could find on the net so far was a suggestion that H4895 @49gr starting was safe.

If it was me id take data from multiple sources and use the lowest start load
Hogdon shows h-4350 running lower pressure of the two
Although you will be creating more pressure seating deeper you will also be running huge freebore which will releive some pressure
I only ever loadedmine with ramshot biggame so wont recommend amy numbers for the other two

I had a Husky 46 my mag could handle 3.25"
My load with Speer 270's
IMR 4895
Start 51grs-56 Max
OAL 3.25"
CCI 250 Pr.

Maybe drop a few grains and seat bullets at 3"

I have successfully used rl22 & 17, imr 4350 & varget ... i settled on varget for 286gr interlocks... by buddy uses the 270 gr hotcors in an old husky and took a nice moose this year with them travelling 2300fps if i remember ... i agree with dogslayer...

That same load with 52.0 gr 4895 shows 45,234 psi for 2345 MV. ..24" bbl. Pretty safe load. Max pressure indicated by Quickload is 56,565.

Double check to be sure it's not chambered 9.3 x 57 .. ?

All Husquvarna model 46A actions were built on long action receivers. Those chambered for the shorter cartridges had a plug added to the standard length 3.25" mag well to accommodate the shorter cartridge. Take a very close look at your bottom metal and mag box. I would bet more than even money that you can get more mag length quite easily by removing the plug if yours really is only 3.0".

Great resource piece for all mauser owners.

Thanks to everyone for the info. I will check for a plug in the magazine. This rifle has a fixed with 1 folding leaf from NECG and a front blade to match as well as a complete polish and re-blue by Ellwood Epps. Epps also reamed this from 9.3x57 to the 62 (the data stamp is still original 9.3 mm as done by Husqvarna). I had one before that I did thin the front of the mag. well and widen and re-profile the feed ramp, about 1/8" was removed. Of course Husky's are a case hardened receiver and by grinding I removed that hardening as well as material directly behind where the lug locks in the receiver... With factory Privi 285gr round nose it was necessary to widen the feed path as well or the noses would catch and jam.
This new rifle is so shiny, for now I'll try seating deeper.
