I am looking at making a trip up to Clear this weekend and Im curious if anyone has been as of late or if its even worth the drive up. What there might be there to catch these days. Any tips will be appreciated.

I was wondering myself if shore fishing would be any good there.

Just got back from several hours at Clear Lake.
I fished PCR this morning but thought I'd rip over and give Clear a shot.
I had 7 fish on and managed to land 4,2 were actually keepers but did not have a cooler with.......They bit pretty good for almost 2hrs then just shut-off.
Fished off the dock and most were caught with a smelt on the bottom, others were on jig/minnow below a slip bobber.
It is getting pretty weedy but I did not do much casting.
If you see a bunch of blood on the dock it's mostly mine as one of em managed to get a treble hook in my finger
All in all a great day and more than worth the trip there after fishing PCR.

Ok I'll give it a try. I have no life jacket so I can't use my canoe. Its very difficult to find a jacket to fit this bod. I hate the idea of having to wear one too. I'm just as comfortable in water as I am on land. I've lost a lot of weight buy I still look like a beluga whale in the water. HO ho ho
