Default Squirrel n weasel tails

Anybody have a good method for stripping out these tails especially after they've dried out abit? Couple of days dead around here and they get pretty dry.

Use a scalpel with a fine straight point. Works wonders in small tight places. Any scrapbooking place or even Canadian Tire sells a kit for 2 bucks. Good investment. I carry my scalpel everywhere I go on my line.
