Default Anschutz 1430 1434

I just picked up an Anschutz 22 Hornet set trigger in the above model and would like any feedback on it. Such as what ammo to feed it, reloading recipe?

My Anschutz 1730 in 22 Hornet preferred the 40gr v-max, in front of Lil Gun. I clipped the nylon tips off of the bullets to fit the magazine, and seated them .010" from the lands. At 200 yards, I could tell no difference in point of impact or accuracy with the tips clipped.

Really good shooting guns. Have had a couple. Both liked 40 Vmax or Blitzkings, WW Brass, Fed Small Pistol Primer and 12.6 grains of Lil'Gun. I did not crimp them nor did I clip the tips off. They were doing 3050 FPS. A lot faster than factory ammo and very accurate.

I tried several primers, and settled on Rem 6-1/2, I was able to consistently put five shots in 1/2" at 100 yards loaded to .010" off of the lands, but if I loaded to magazine length, groups opened up to over 3/4".

Default Anschutz

Thanks guys, I'm anxiously waiting for it. Picked up some surplus Hornady ammo 35 gr. at a good price. Now starting again with a new caliber need to start shopping. My sone does the reloading so all information will be passed to him. Spare mags are near impossible to locate

I liked 35 V max and Win 296. Great to about 150 yds. For greater range the heavier bullets are better.
