Default lost pontoon boat

I was at Beaver Lake near Caroline on Sunday Oct 6 and my pontoon boat came off our trailer on the way home because the springer clips weren't attached properly and the boat came off the trailer. Didn't notice it was gone until we got home. It was the stupideous thing I have ever done. Went back the next day and of course couldn't find it. If anyone knows who may have found it I would sure love to get it back. It hasn't been my best fishing year. I'm going to blame it on alzheimers until I can find a better excuse.
I forgot to mention it's a blue Outcast pack 800.

Are you sure you loaded the boat?
Maybe check with the police, and look at the obituaries for leads.

He is either kidding or thinking of one of those big pontoon 30 people 150 horse aluminium boats rather than the small one man rubber pontoon version you lost. Hope you get lucky and find it.

Maybe put a poster at Beaver, Birch and a few other lakes in the area.
See if some stores in Caroline would let you put up a poster.
Try the fly shops in Calgary and Red Deer, too.

It's worth a try. Those things ain't cheap.

sure. go the rcmp.

then after he files the report stating the boat came off the trailer during transport, he will get a ticket for an unsafe load.

add another $200 to his loss already.

its gone. move on.

With all the threads on lost gear this year, it blows me away how much fishermen lose

It is amazing what people lose I think it's all part of the times everybody's in a freaking hurry to get somewhere and get home, in 40 Years of transporting stuff I can't think of anything I've ever lost out of my truck I always take a couple minutes walk around the truck check everything twice.

It'e not hard to lose stuff while fishing. Me:

-A Hardy Jet fly rod pulled out by a not especially big trout in Paul Lake, BC
-Two mushroom anchors in Muir Lake
-A measure net in Spring Lake
-Two Minn Kota extension handles

I know someone who lost a $1000 set of prescription sunglasses in Muir Lake

A candlelight vigil will be held until it's return...my dog Mijo rode on this boat until the day before she passed away 2 mos ago so really hoping it's returned. It has alot of sentimental value to me besides its value for fishing.

In this life, pooph happens. Sometimes very expensive. You learn from it.I spent a lifetime around watercraft big and small.Big being a 1000 ton trawler, small being a rubber dingy--Dumb mistakes catch you when you are not looking.Case and point.Police out post trouting trip,Pulled in at the far end of the lake for leg stretch, lunch, and snoozee.I awake to see my zodiac, with mercury engine, and gear floating down the lake--Like Robinson cruiso I was thunderstruck.A young couple hooked on and towed it back to me.Ohhhh nooo, knot failure, the dumbest of all for a seaman.Good luck, you are not alone.

I’ll likely be in that area on the weekend I’ll keep an eye out for it.

I was at Beaver on Monday and didn't see anything on my way up or back home. Good luck in your search.

Which route did you take to get home? Might help in the search or places to potentially look/ask

Default lost pontoon

I took the same route when I went back and didn't find it.

The RCMP called today and they are considering it a stolen item so we have been asked if we see someone with the boat not to approach them...to take picture of the person, boat and license plate and to call them.

My boat has been modified with square tubing painted red that are welded under the frame to fit on the forks of the trailer we had made. It also has a rubber mat that I screwed onto the back platform so Mijo didn't burn her feet when it got hot out.
