Orvis recon

Bought an orvis recon in January, used it for the first time Friday, couple of casts in and then the tip section snapped about 14 inches down, how are orvis when it comes to warranties?, been fly fishing for over 40 years, never had rod’s break like this till I started buying modern rods, this is the second one to break during light use, the other one was a st croix, been assured these are US made not Chinese crap

So bass pro have a 60 day warranty on rods, not much use when I bought it in January, if I’d bought direct from orvis they would have shipped me a replacement, so don’t see the point of buying from a retailer like bass pro when they don’t want to know after they’ve sold you a product, taken 5 phone calls to them to get a copy of the receipt so I can send it back to orvis, so with cabelas downsizing their fly gear and bass pro’s crappy customer service, my wife will have to buy gift cards for somewhere else, Reid’s fly shop doesn’t seem to carry much stock, especially fly tying materials, so I guess it’s the fishing hole

For 10 minutes yes, as for the receipt, I usually keep them, but sods law is when I needed it couldn’t find it
