Default Wait times for CWD results

Hello all,

It would be interesting to hear if anyone is satisfied or not satisfied with how long it takes to get your CWD results.

Have a good day

I shot two deer on the same day.

Animal shot 12 Nov 16. Heads turned in same day

According to the email I received, "results for the head submitted on or about 2016-11-21, CWD Label [90756] is: Negative (Target Tissue).

Email received 5 Dec 16

Both were draws so I assume that is how they knew my email address

here is the latest map as of Dec 2016 there will be more positive's

also in those zone that have higher numbers over the years you will have deer reduction just because of the disease itself .. some valleys in Sask had 70% infection rate and CWD is fatal for now .. also I phone Colorado Bio's and they saw the same reduction ..some of their harder hit areas are starting to come back a bit which is positive

Shot 2 deer and submitted late Nov. Phoned SRD last week they said its still in the queue. It's the figgen first week of March and still nothing.

If this province is serious about CWD surveillance and concerns for public health and safety do you not think that the government should pull their heads out of their azz and consider scaling up the CWD testing program to be aligned to the significant increase in WMU zones being tested because in my opinion 3 months is NOT anywhere close to being reasonable.

Hunters are either going to stop submitting heads or start hunting elsewhere with these wait times. In either scenario not good for CWD control.

What's up SRD?
