Question Parasol emergers

Every year I like to dedicate myself to fishing a new style of fly or style of fly fishing. Last year it was booby flies and nymphing( I hated nymphing until last year). This year I want to take on Parasol flies. I've tied a couple but haven't really made an effort to fish them. Has anyone fished these fly types with consistent success?

i fish them 70 - 80% of the time. always get some action on them even when the fish aren't rising to anything. just have a variety of sizes and color handy, some days the fish seem to hone into one particular size and color and nothing else will work.

First time I was fishing and they would only take emergers just below the surface I didn't have any so I tied a nymph just below a dry and it worked great. Also like doin that cuz I can play with the depth a lot more. From 1" below to 6" anyways that's what I do when I need an emerger. I find the little indicator parachute bit just gets tangled up in my fly box so I don't use them anymore
