My dad thought it would be funny to make me a bet that I couldn't eat a lemon when I was around 7 years old. I remember well sitting by the wood cook stove in the kitchen, peeling the lemon, throwing the peel in the stove and eating the lemon like an orange. Then to show how tough I was I ate another one. Felt good to have the last laugh.

Wow, I am surprised that so many of you like them so much. I love to add cubes of them into salads, but would never be able to eat them like oranges. I even have to sweeten my freshly squeezed lemonade.........lol These taste buds are just too sensitive.....though that makes them great for enjoying the fine flavours of wild game.

Also like rhubarb and crab/green apples.

Prefer most fruits on the green side(slightly tangy).

Not sure why I like sour, but do not like hot an spicey food.
