Default Looking to purchase an RTM home.....please provide your knowledge & experience

Looking to purchase an RTM home, I have no knowledge in this area and would appreciate the good bad and ugly, build and material quality, please share your experiences, would you do it again or build on site, if anyone could recommend reputable builders or builders to stay away from that would be greatly appreciated, the location will be in southern Sask so any great distance from location could be a deal breaker due to cost. I have looked at a few builders websites such as Jayco, Jade and Warman. Thanks in advance.

Looked at these in the past. Most local to us was Jade, as well as Nelson homes out of High River. Both were really nice. I like Jade better. I remember Jade said delivery was included in price. I guess probably meaning once you get serious about a build and you give the location it gets worked in without you knowing. For what I saw I was quite impressed.

Sureshot, be careful some of the homes are only a shell and final live in costs can be double the quoted price.

My father in law bought from Warman a couple years back and there were only minor issues with the build that was quickly resolved I don't recall him commenting on how the movers were though, I will have to ask.

Hire a local guy to build you a house.
Keep that money in your community.

Cant say enough about the builders and the value of the house...nightmare with the movers for us...hauled the house in poor road conditions salt all and road grime covered...backed into foundation and did not fix properly...ignorant dorks

I have considered it, haven't looked into it fully at this time, it's at a lake though and an abundance of quality contractors are not readily available and abit of price gouging and reliability is an issue.

We had great luck with Homes To Go in Lloydminster. We have neighbours and friends that have all had great experiences too.
