Default Stabilizer weights fell off- issue!?!?

I noticed the other day my stabilizer weights were missing. The must have unscrewed themselves somehow. I have a totally stock setup - Bowtech- Carbon Icon.

What issues should I expect until I can replace them?

Not sure what you mean by issues, mechanically as far as the bow goes you won’t have any. A stabilizers is meant to help with pin float, balance of the bow, and may dampen a bit of vibrations. Depending on how much you shoot, you likely won’t notice much of a difference.

Hard to say. Some guys truly believe they need 3 foot long front and rear offset stabilizers to kill a deer at 30 yards. Some bows are more picky than others.

I can shoot without a stabilizer, groups are the same, but it’s noticeably louder.

Shoot a few and see what happens.

Lots of guys don’t even use stabilizers these days. I would just replace and move on. They won’t be much differences at standard ranges but you may have a little larger groups in the wind or over longer shots and it’ll feel different after the shot with no stabilizer they help stop vibration more than anything.

I use a 10” front and a 8” rear stab on my hunting bow. I also shoot competitively and a heavy bow just “feels right”. The day I can’t carry my bow is the day I hang it up.

Shoot a stabilizer setup that does help and does make a difference, otherwise there is not point in it. Every bow and every person is different so go to a shop that lets you try a bunch of different stab setups and go with what helps you the most.

Awesome thanks folks. That’s the type of experience I was hoping for. I’ll let a couple fly today and see if I notice the noise, pin float, vibration etc.
