Default Need Aluminum parts satin blasted.

I have some aluminum bottom metal and rings I’d like the anodizing blasted off with a nice satin finish. I do not want a harsh pitted grey surface. Does anyone have someone to recommend for that work? Thanks.

Hey Chuck. I have talked to guys that have done this on various anodized parts before using very common chemicals. Not sure if it's something you are interested in trying. Google removing anodizing.

Default Finish

The untreated aluminum finish wont last long if uncoated. Unless you Blitz polish it every week. Also, the aluminum is soft and marks easily.

You will get some oxidation over time once the anodizing is removed, probably minimal depending on the storage and usage details. The other issue is now the surface is porous and unsealed again, meaning it will stain easily, grubby or oily finger prints can be difficult to clean off the Matte/Satin finish left by the glass beading.
Anybody that had their Shovel or Pan Head Harley engine parts glass bead blasted can attest to that.
