What a gorgeous Elsie!
Is it heavy? My Westley Richards was not that heavy a gun for a 10 gauge.

I don't find it heavy Cat - although, it certainly makes a statement when you pick it up!

I may have to consult you regarding tracking down some light load specifications.

THAT thing looks like it would really hurt when you pull the trigger!

Not familiar with the make, but can both barrels be fired at the same time?

I don't think a guy would want to do a round of clays with it

With proper loads those old tens are great to shoot and do not recoil too bad

Very nice piece. If you are going to shoot it you will want to fix the crack in the Butt Stock first. Even with light loads, old wood is pretty easy to split all the way as it appears to have a good start now. There are a few good smiths that can do that kind of work. David Henry would be one of my top picks.
Hope you get lots of use out of it, I have owned a couple of 10s and always enjoyed them but no longer have one. Hope you have lots of fun with yours.

Great find indeed, a classic beauty!

Where is David Henry located? What other sort of work does he do besides stock repairs? Full range of gunsmithing?
