Default 410 and 408

Hey Everyone,

Me and a buddy are looking at going up near Canmore for a weekend bow hunt. Going to buy several tags and just see what we can see. would go up behind the mine I think.

Ive looked also into the pigeon mountain area as that borders 408 which according to Ihunter, is general for sheep with rifle. is this correct?

Any tips on these areas? I don't have high hopes on getting anything but looking forward to getting up on the mountain and getting hunting season started.

Cheers,

Berta

Default check all sources for regs

Hey Berta,

Not sure if iHunter has all the regulated zones but if you are hunting that area you need to consult the Bow Valley Management Plan. Behind the mines you run in Plan zone P4 which is no hunting. Make sure you check it out. Be careful hunting 408 that you have your rifle completely cased if you are accessing via a Provincial Park or you may get ticketed. Gun socks seem to be ok with F&W and the CO's.

If you are looking for a third for a weekend hunt in October shoot me a pm.

Good luck and stay dry out there.

410 is bowzone only. Pigeon is included in the bowzone
