IT IS TAXES, don't look up Liquor stores or anything else that supplies TAXES, i.e. pot stores or anything that provides TAXES so that they can collect their dues, and pensions. I had an old friend tell me once, The answer is "MONEY", now, what is your question. Just my two cents worth.

Well, good news for me.
It appears I may not have to be laid off.
As a supplier to companies like Suncor/EPCOR and the like....we are considered an essential service.
Not that I was too worried, but being retirement is only two years away, not having to hit my savings is good news.

It shouldn't even get to that point if the worker contacts OH&S.
The worker get paid while the investigation is ongoing.
If the worker doesn't escalate things and continues to work in unsafe conditions then they deserve to get hurt.
You can't get fired for reporting.
There are a lot of guys fired because they are idiots and then go make up a story about unsafe work just to cover why they got fired.

withdrawals…..the unpleasant physical and mental effects that result when you stop doing or taking something, especially a drug,

people would go wonky on us....would just add a increase on our already overworked health system etc....

People are going to start going back to work a lot more in the next couple weeks. Many don't have 3 months tucked away.
We were shut down for a week but im starting back tomorrow, because some how construction is essential.
There are still massive sites like the cancer center rolling along with hundreds of guys working in the same building, same bathrooms etc.
At least bass pro can control the people by limiting them.

I tend to be more worried about employee responsibilities than employer. The employers that are responsible are doing what is necessary, not so sure about the employees.

Dropped groceries at folks place self-querentine. Drove by west end italian shop, lot was jammed packed. Store was completely full. If there is a rule in place about how many people can go in..... they certainly are not complying.

Was at the downtown IT store yesterday for my usual rations, lots of signs and tape on the floors ...they aren't limiting how many going in BUT it was still social distancing compliant
