Default bedding?

Is it hard to properly bed my action with them kits you can get at most shops. I think some oil from storing my gun soaked into the wood and may have buggerd it. just don't want to get in over my head and bugger the hole stock. I am pretty good at tinkering with stuff so i think i could get it done but wood like some advice on how to do it and if there is another way. It also has a pressure point at the forend of stock that will need to be bedded as it shoots better with the pressure than free floating. thanks jay

Marine Tex Epoxy and clear shoe wax as a release agent. Works great!! No mess whatsoever.

What he says, or JB Weld and unflavoured Pam cooking spray as a release agent. There are a multitude of good bedding and release agent. Don't forget some plasticine to block off anything that you don't want the epoxy to go into to cause a mechanical lock-up. And ....... remover the trigger assembly.

Good luck

If you have trouble getting things apart try putting it in the freezer.
