Default Older boat new motor

I have a 1996 rough neck boat it has 90hp Johnson on it and appears to have a bad piston on it. In order to put a new motor on it is that a big job have the controls changed much?

there are only a few diff control styles and can be ordered to match your new engine. There will be some linkage adjustment etc.
