Pffft why bother buying the tags i mean no one does anyways and lots of treaty land in zone 999 so just bring your status card or a buddy with one and you're fine... dont forget to share the beer with a c.o if ever stopped they always need a cold drink too!!

You get 3 tags but got to shoot a female first. After that it can be a male or transgender. Watch out for the young ones, hard to tell what they are yet.

So it's kinda like the "Earn a Buck" program that happens on the reserves??

Does anyone hunt snow geese in 999? Im thinking about hiring a clown to blow up a few hundred balloons in the pre dawn darkness...

Oh, and be sure to check out the buy sell, I got cool rifle listed, only asking 95% of my purchase price, but you save the GST,
Only shot 5 rounds too, but it's very accurate.
And I can't be left without a rifle, anyone got one just lying around, my budget is 35% of your purchase price.

Really guys? 999 is a crap zone. It's shot out and with the current game management it's not getting better anytime soon. I remember it was a good place to go. But the amount of pressure these days really put a damper on things. I mean everyone is applying for it in hopes of an easy hunt.

In all truthfulness it's the easiest, cheapest hunt there is. Don't even have to leave the house.

And you will never see an unused tag marked 999 after the season closes.

I don't know why you guys keep putting in for WMU 999. Have you checked the success rates? Dismal at best.

How many unused tags marked 999 have you seen after the season ends?

As for the success rates, they don't post them for 999, or everyone would be applying.

The problem with 999 is all the out of province guys coming in and shooting up the place. Alberta really has to rein that in. I'm writing a letter.

Guys you know that you don't have to buy tags for 999 until you score your animal in that zone. Provided you took a newbie with you

Default Trail cam pics from wmu999

This guy showed up on my cam.
Do you guys think he is a shooter? What do you think he'll score?
Hopefully he's still around in hunting season.

This bear has been hanging around. Seems to be a real pumpkin head with small ears. I'm thinking it's a piebald blackbear but I'm not sure. Do you think he's worth harvesting? Is bear meat yummy?

I heard that elks like that one are a dime a dozen in the saddle hills. The legend of 999 or the myth of the hills. I don't know what to pursue.
