I've had my RPAL about 2 1/2 years now, but when I got mine, they apparently didn't talk to any of my references. I kept asking them if they'd been contacted & interviewed about me yet, so thought my RPAL was taking its sweet time being processed. Next thing I know, RPAL shows up..... Perhaps my
honest face in my submitted photo was enough?
Frankly, I wish they were a bit tighter with scrutinizing the applications. I recall being at a gun counter where a guy dressed entirely in the "uniform" of a hip-hop street thug (complete with goofy swaggering walk, gawdy gold chains and "Pimpin ain't easy" attitude) asked to see a pistol grip Mossberg 12 guage. The counterman thought he'd head the weenie off at the pass by asking to see a PAL before allowing him to handle the firearm; but it didn't pan out , as the aforementioned weenie was able to produce one
.
Now I know I shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, but if this dweeb didn't have a criminal history or wasn't presently active as a freelance entrepreneur in the delivery of unlicenced pharmaceuticals I'd eat my shorts.
