Default Slowly going insane!!

I think I just might be losing my mind! I bought a new Tikka about a month ago, was planning on waiting till spring to buy but..... I went into wholesale just to have another look...you know drool and torture myself a bit. I was pleasantly surprised that they had dropped the price, though they have since gone up. I just couldnt resist any longer and ended up leaving the store with a T3 LS in 270wsm. Got it wearing a VX-II 3-9*40 in silver and a limbsaver. Now, you may be thinking, why is the guy losing his mind? Should be pumped..got a new toy , saved a few bucks and all. Well here it is........I'm going crazy to shoot the darn thing! We finally have a nice weekend that niether the cold, work nor family commitments would hold me back from going to my favorite shooting spot with my brother Dave. Only problem is that the wind is howling at about nine hundred miles an hour!!!!!! Arghhh.

Does anyone out there shoot this gun with a limbsaver on it? How does it feel? I'm used to shooting an old Winchester 88 in 308 and didnt find it too bad even though I've heard they're notoriously hard kicking. Not sure how the 270 shorty will treat me since Ive never even fired a rifle this light or a 270 short mag for that matter. Please tell me what you think of it...it may help me ward off the men in the white coats until next weekend. I'm also planning on shooting the 140 Accubonds, really hoping that my gun likes em.

Gotta go, the tikka is taunting me from the basement. Maybe if I just clean it one more time the shakes will go away

Glad to hear that - you and I are obviouslly NOT cut from the
same cloth!
I'm liable to sell my favorite firearm today - tomorrow!
me and Win94 have a support group appatantly, but we don't need it, we can stop selling guns anytime, we just choose not to!
I have shot a few Tikkas, and like them a whole bunch, better than the remingtons currently sitting in my gun vault......

Gramps...I must admit I do respect your taste in weaponry.
I never shot mine with the factory recoil pad on it but I am blown away
by how shootable this gun is. Please keep me posted.
Youve had yours a month as well and haven't shot it?
Are you expecting the men in the clean white coats as well or are you
dealing with it better than I did?

Cheers

He's not kidding about being in love.....once we got er dialed in..it was shooting <1 inch groups with both ammos...he actually kissed the rifle...Now, Don't get me wrong, I respect and appreciate all my guns...but public displays of affection......well.....maybe if I bag a moose or an elk this year.

Congrats on a real nice rifle there Shooter...now we gotta bust her cherry this fall.
