Default May long camping

Hey all,
Every year we have booked a group camp for May long weekend and because of family issues, we had to cancel it. There is a couple of us still wanting to go and I have looked and mostly everything is booked...but of course

Anybody know of anything within 2 or 3 hours of Calgary that you can think of that I maybe missed. Buddy would like power but that probably won't happen..LOL.

Any ideas would be great. I have a few places to go and fish, but the Wife would not like bald ass praire to camp in

Thanks for any suggestions cause we have never been in this position so my mind is drawing a blank.

The bald azz prairie's hidden gems are along the waterways. There can be nice treed areas and the weather ...well, at least you see it coming. Looking at a map, within 2 or 3 hours of Calgary is a vast area. Your buddy that need electricity should invest in a generator. There would be more places to choose from.

This website has a map of the campgrounds within 3 hours. Maybe some you overlooked. Click on campgrounds for the map.

Head up Sundre way and camp in the bush. Free too which is cool. Have spent man6 long weekends out that way. Just make sure one person goes a few days ahead to pick the best spot for your group.
