Default Big surprise on a small creek

Got up bright an early to head to a small creek this morning and am I ever happy I did, cutties were all over the dry fly today. Had one heck of a surprise while fishing a deep pool..........

This fish came from the depths (about 8 feet) to take my fly on the top, was a heck of a workout for a 2 wt rod with 6x tippet. I was extremely surprised to say the least.

This is the size I'm used to in this creek

Nice surprise

I had a bit of a surprise yesterday too, caught three 14" to 16" rainbows on a creek where 12" used to be big

I've found the sizes to be a little bigger than last year, maybe the flood helped the bigger ones and hurt the smaller ones, not to sure what to think.

What a beautty Cutt! Amazing colours. You're getting me more and more stoked for this upcoming weekend, where I hope to hit some similar streams in the NSR drainage. Thanks for posting.
