Default Keep your old trail cams!

https://www.spypoint.com/en/products/cell-link

Was just messing around online and bumped into this new soypoint device. Will be a game changer for the cell powered cameras. No need to buy a new fancy trail cam just for cell capabilities. Turn your old cam into one! Great idea!

Very cool. I'll be having at look at these when released for sure.

Default Let's Hope Pricing will be reasonable

If they can keep the price down to a reasonable level, they'll grab a lot of the market. I hope they increase their support network as we'll as they were pretty much overwhelmed when the Link Micro came out last year.

Can Confirm. Terrible customer services. It's unfortunate, as they used to have a reputation for great customer service a few years back. Also, I have older Spypoint Cams that have never had a single issue. Bought a new one last spring and it lasted less than 2 weeks before it stopped turning on. Still waiting for a repair/replacement.

Still like the look of this product though.

I had the opposite experience with SPYPOINT Canada customer service.

Picked up a Link Evo about a year ago and had a bunch of issues with it right out of the box. I went back and forth over email with their tech people. We tried everything and eventually they shipped me a brand new camera, I sent back the broken one and everything went perfectly after that.

It’s cost me about 3 weeks of not having a functional camera, but it wasn’t a big deal and in the end I have a flawless cell camera.

I tried emailing spypoints customer service multiple times with no reply over the last couple months.

Default If they come to Canada - $60USD

At this year's ATA show in the States, Spypoint is indicating a retail price of $60 USD. Will be interesting to see how they make a weatherproof interface between the 2 units as they connect via the SD slot in existing camera.

Neat! But will the free cell plan (100 images per month) be available in Canada?

I was wondering this as well. I have 2 off brand trail cameras and neither has an external port to tap into. I have micro USB plugs inside so I am suspecting some level of hole needs to be poked in to run cables. Maybe it comes with an instal hole punch and rubber boot seal?
