Default Hunt filming Company

I drew a fairly high priority moose tag this year and was considering checking into getting it filmed. I want it high quality video, editing etc. What I'm picturing is that it would turn out like some of these 15 to 20min videos on youtube. I know it could be costly but does anyone have any recommendations? I'd even consider someone trying to break into the industry or a university student etc even if I had to rent the gear.

Send some emails out to some hunting shows
Lord knows theres a bunch of them that could use some more footage than 3 episodes hunting black bears over bait.
If you were paying them, They might be able to make it an episode or at worst be able to do all of the editing if you can bring them the video?

Very few of those shows produce video content good enough for me to be interested is the problem. We have thought about going that route but arent keen on it.

In that case I would approach only the shows you think have high enough video and sound quality to see if they are interested. I would also look around for someone who is trying to get into producing hunting shows and already has some real quality content on YouTube or Facebook. Filming outdoors and in rougher conditions is very different that the skill set a lot of video camera men have.

To get a truly professional video camera man with outdoor filming experience to go on a week long hunt, then edit and produce the video is going to run you at least $15,000 plus expenses (just renting a top end camera and sound gear to do it yourself will run you $1,000 a day). The average wedding video runs about $3-$6000 and that is a one or two day deal at most.

Best of luck, hope you find someone good and then post the video for us to see.

If you film it.... I got students that can edit it. Some of them r pretty good with the ole editing skills.

We do some occasional work for a couple of board members and companies here.

Your best bet is to find a local guy here to film for you and then get someone else to edit ,my buddy did that on the few sheep hunts he obviously had to pay the guy to go on the hunt with him.

Buy a camera, tripod and you and buddy film it. Easy.

Steven Drake Photo? But I’m guessing this late in the game that he is already booked up.

if guys who do it for a living arent good enough what other choice will you be happy with?? Taking a student like others have suggested sounds worst then taking a group that films all the time.

Another alternative could be to buy a good head/helmet cam. You film the first person view of the whole hunting event. Can be self edited or farmed out to someone else.

Editing really isn't the problem, footage is. For the quality your asking for, you do realise that your just a shooter ?

Camera runs the show, that's why many have a hard time producing a quality product.

Hope you find what your looking for..
