Have it and it's a great scope imho. Originally bought it for my 338 win mag but it was a bit too much scope so it now sits on my 22-250. Don't think you can wrong for the price either.

I've got the model with the 44mm objective. I know that there is not a lot of love on this site for Vortex, but I have had zero issues with my scope. It's probably 3 years old now and I've put in excess of 1000 rounds of 308 down the pipe while using this scope.

It is sitting on a fairly heavy, varmint style rifle. The rifle/scope only get used at the range so the handiness of the set-up is not a concern.

The furthest distance that I shoot to is 600yds. The scope works well for my purposes.

I've had the 4-16x44 on the 7mm for a year and been pretty happy with it. Handled a horse rolling on it while trailing in, wish I could say the same about the rifle it was on. Paid $600 for the 44

Excellent bang for the buck I had a hst 4-16x44 it had no problem holding zero, I sold that set up, that's the only reason I no longer have it, I also have a hst in 6-25x50 and it is also a great scope. Great bang for the buck, just make sure you get good quality rings and bases! I believe north pro has the HS LR for sale right now, you may wanna check it out!!

I have the HS LR, started on my 7mm and I was able to take a elk at 656yards with it. ive done plenty of shooting and knew my corrections for that shot. Ive never had a issue with it holding my zero or with tracking. it now sits on my A7 300 win for this years hunt. would definitely buy another.
