I guess "just" would be about 3 weeks ago. Times a bit blurred right now. I don't think prime has changed though in that time, unless all the banks have backed off on those rates you can likely wheel and deal a good rate.

Your best bet is to speak with a mortgage broker and get them doing some searching, then if you like take it to your bank.

The mortgage broker I used actually got that rate for me from Scotia Bank, then I took it to Scotia and said match it (they initially offered me 2.89). I wanted to deal directly with my banker, they matched it.
