Well the real test is to shoot the stone points into the grizzle shield of a boar hog - thats comparing apples to apples! I shot a boar a couple years ago that tipped the scale at 400+ lbs. I shot it with a 70 lb longbow and heavy purple-heart footed wood shafts tipped with 190 gr. ribrecs and I shot every arrow I had into a tennis ball sized area tight behind the shoulder. Not ONE of those arrows penatrated thru the shield - less than 3 inches of penatration. I put 2 30-30 rounds behind his ear to finish what I started. I'm not knockin trad equipment - I exclusively hunted with this bow for approx 10 yrs. Killed moose, 'bou and deer - it will do the job effectively if I do my part. But that goes for compound guys as well!!
I guess what I'm saying is don't use these 2 clips to try to prove or disprove your point! If that guy had shot that hog quartering away BEHIND the plate angling forward it would have been a different result - just like if I had done that on my hog.
