Default My Dads old Bow finally arrived.

I've been waiting almost a week now, hounding the poor UPS guy...(and the postman for my new KUIU Gear)..but it finally arrived. Its a Hoyt/Easton Stag 45-60# and 29-31". I would like to shoot this again as the limbs and frame are in excellent condition, but it could use a new string and some of the bolts and screws are showing some rust. I think a trip to Trophy Book shoud clear that those issues. (Don't have the equipment or much experience do to it myself)

Also my Grandpa's old hunting knife came with it, it has some copper fouling and the blade needs a good cleaning. It says Original Buffalo Skinner on the blade, D.F.S Marveledge Solingen Stamped on one side and A 1261 on the other.

Very cool. I especially like the knife but I wouldn't be cleaning it up too much. I would put a good edge on it and oil it up. Those are a couple of irreplaceable items, treasure them.

Refrmek,

ya I only mean cleaning up the blade, sharpen, oil. I am not touching the hilt. Thanks though.

Trophy book can make you up a set of custom colour strings. Definitely check it out.

Now that is a Buffalo Knife. looks like mine. Had it since 1964. My cost was $7.50 back then . Worked at WW Arcade in Edmonton. We got cost plus 10% back then .what a knife keeps a great edge!

Thanks Deerhunter,

I gave the blade a good cleaning since the picture and took a sharpening stone to it. looks great now, I'll post a pic soon. I think it's going to find its way onto my belt and replace my newer buck knife, at least for a season or two.
