Default Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving everyone, May your hunts be successful, and your turkey gravy not turn out lumpy. Phil.

Today is the biggest challenge that my stomach faces annually, my Mother-in-law has always held her Thanksgiving meal at 1pm for reasons that I cannot fully understand, once we're done there it is then off to my own Mom's for her Thanksgiving dinner. Oh, the humanity!

I hope everyone has a great day with their family and friends.

Why is turkey associated with Thanksgiving?

I hate turkey, and typically am the only one eating a delicious steak while those around me suffer on the dryness of an ugly, dead bird.

Have a great weekend.

Supposedly the Pilgrims and natives shared turkey one day hundreds of years ago , ,

To still to this turkey is associated with doing nothing, and overeating, laying on the couch , etc, etc etc

It's AMERICAN !!!!!! goes back to the myth of the Pilgrims and their first Thanksgiving. Tough dry bird is totally appropriate, thought the one we had yesterday was good, DIL is a good cook.
