Default highwood/cataract creek

I have a day set aside this weekend to get out into some trout country and I was thinking about trying the area around cat creek on the highwood or cataract creek itself. I'll be driving about 2.5 hrs to get into the area so just wanted to know how the river conditions are lately. also how the bite has been. thanks for any info!

River is running higher than normal for this time of year, but clarity is good.

Fishing has been good, no shortage of bugs and cool water temperatures to keep the fish happy.

Enjoy, bring bear spray.

I'm thinking of heading down that way this weekend as well. I'll be a little further south on the Oldman and Livingston, but I want to venture up that way for a bit as well. I might cross paths with you. I'll be the fella with a huge black dog.
