Fishing the eastern slopes should be on a draw type system, period.
Davey…. I’m thinkin your position is rooted in the fact that your property and river are easily accessed and polluted with neoprene calgarians.

But you know… within 5 miles of your river….. there’s tonnes of barely touched water.

A guy has to hike a bit….. but they won’t.

Do not regulate the place.

Been fishing the eastern slopes of SA my whole life. I know what I have witnessed over about the past 40 years.

I know how to hike Bessie, but thanks for the tip.

I too have grown up fishing southern Alberta. My kids are enjoying the same waters being able to fish any water any time. I hope my grand kids are afforded the same opportunities. Please don’t advocate to take that luxury away.

I’ll advocate for whatever I like. I know what I have seen over the years. Trust me, I’m not the only one with this opinion.

It’s not about taking luxuries away. It’s about giving the fisherman or woman a better experience and giving the fish a bit of a break.

Sorry to the OP. We steered this thread off the rails.

If we want to talk about fishing the eastern slopes of AB we should start a new thread.
