Default Daysland Pheasant Release site

Hello. Just looking for a little help on accessing the daysland pheasant release site. I'm looking at taking my son out there this weekend but have not been there before or even hunted pheasant before. I have been able to find some information on location but just want to confirm that if I am heading south on 855 off of Hwy 14 that I will eventually see the parking lot on the right side? It sounds like there is also a south parking lot, how do you get to that one? Thanks for your help!

You will see a gate on the right, not an actual parking lot. Do not park in front of the gate, park off to the side, or across the highway on the approach. Expect a large amount of people on the weekend. Wear some orange, and safety glasses are not a bad idea.

No parking lots per say. Just park at one one the approaches (except the one that says NO PARKING). They're mainly along the south and west boundary.

Just a hint, but within hours of a release, the vast majority of the birds are in the brush, where they would rather run than fly.

Seems like we'll have to be prepared to do some bush whacking then.

Get down and dirty and use blockers if possible.

Weekends can be huge crowds, which is why I do all of my hunting on weekdays. Today we heard many shots shortly after we pulled in, but most people were on there way out as we began hunting. I assume we arrived within an hour or two after a release.
