Default Another laker day

What can I say it was almost dead calm, lakers were turned on, had 6 in 20 minutes then nothing for 15 minutes and made the mistake of having a sammich!
That sammich caught an additional 5 before being fully eaten.
Total was 16 in the boat and 6 that wanted nothing to do with my good looks.
On another note I have been running a custom rod made by Matt Weaver of Weavers Bent Rods and that beauty just surpassed 100 lakers to date and a whole lot of abuse cuz I am rather hard in equipment! Still as purdy the day I got it.
The hot lure was the apex trolling lure in watermelon color catching in water depths from 80 to 140 fow.
Tight lines folks cuz July is laker month hang on!

This was the sammich that enticed the feeding frenzy both above and below the water!

How much weight have you been running in front of your lure? Thanks for the help, glad you had a good day.

My set up is really basic, I run a pink lady, the larger one that gets me down to 40-60 feet depending on boat speed and amount of line out, attached directly to the pink lady is a willow leaf and then attached to that is my apex trolling lure on about 4 feet of line.

System works great, the willow leaf gives the flash of bait fish and then the wounded action of the apex trolling lure gets picked off, the only thing I do is switch out the apex trolling lure to different colours, lengths and action until I find what they are hitting on then the rest is just catching

People will say I am not deep enough but I tell ya I mark fish in 150 fow and I no sooner go over that area with the lure and get hit as they dart up, I let them play out and burp lots, yesterday not a fish came into the boat I just reach over and pull the hook, single barbless hook are real easy to take care of.

Went out again and someone kept catching all my fish!
I catch more on my own and then the fish whisperer shows up!
Ohhh well all fun in the sun and toss in 2-3 foot waves made it interesting!
