Thought so, I remember the one with the blood as well from the hunts around our village. Great to see that you keep the tradition alive

Not even close to the quality pics already posted but from my sons moose quest. Mid October, far from any ponds. My back pack sitting on the ground collected a few of these guys.

Girl and the gopher gets it. That's tough to beat. It's just capturing a moment unscripted that makes the difference. That's what makes a good photo a great photo. Can't help but feel the curiosity of both subjects and the wonderful innocent moments of youth for the young girl and the young gopher. Great shot right there. Send that to national geographic too. They'll publish that one.

An awful lot of big game was killed with the .30-06 including the big bears before everyone became affluent enough to own a rifle for every species of game they might hunt.

I'll add my effort to some great photos here. Walk pulling Gran daughter was only yesterday. Little moose I think is an orphan as he has been local, and by himself for months.
