Default Jackrabbit vs Cottontail calls for coyotes

Have been typically using Jackrabbit in distress with pretty good results. Just curious if anyone has used Cottontail in distress instead with good results

I've used both with good results. Wondered if coyotes really care, the sound effect is the important part.

I use both. I often start with a jack and if nothing shows up I go to a cottontail. We have both in the area so sometimes the yotes are keyed into one and not the other.

Pretty sure the yotes don’t care nor discriminate.....if it sounds like an easy meal they’re on it.

My ecaller does Jacks, Cottentail and snowshoe distress calls. I don't find any one works better then any other, they all work about the same it seems to me.

And we don't have Jacks or Cottentail up here.

The Jackrabbit call's sound tends to carry better - I use mine more if there's more wind. Otherwise, the cottontail.
